Job Description
Fluor Plant Engineering is part of Fluor Corporation based in the U.S., a professional and technical solutions provider focusing on Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Maintenance (EPCM) with more than 45,000 employees and 34 offices in 50 different countries worldwide. Fluor Plant Engineering office is part of the E&C Energy Solutions Sustaining Capital Projects Business Line.
We are looking for a I&CS Engineer to support the regional team (Spain) in HO location at Tarragona.
This position supports the E&I department on assigned projects through the following Key Responsibilities:
* Perform and check routine calculations, specify simple equipment, and solve problems of simple engineering complexity
* Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
* Assist lead to develop estimates, schedules, progress reports, and key quantity tracking reports
* Identify deviations in job scope, estimate magnitude of changes, and initiate trends or change orders
* Monitor material estimates and quantities; participate in equipment and material procurement activities
* Incorporate health, safety, and environmental factors in design
* Interface with other discipline functions
* Assist in the review of vendor lists, preparation of quotation requests, bid tabulations, purchase orders, and considerations for substitutions for technical acceptability
* Deliver quality work, and adhere to the Operating System Requirements (OSR)
* Execute project work in accordance with approved Activity Plans
* Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
* Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor’s knowledge management portals and communities
* Participate in Fluor University as necessary to follow the curricula as outlined in the Functional Development Frameworks
* Participate in mentoring program for personal development
* Engage Fluor’s global community, promoting a OneFluor mindset
* Support the Functional Process Lead and Department Manager on initiatives
* May promote company branding by active participation in external technical organizations
* Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines

Basic Job Requirements
* Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and three (3) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
* Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
* Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
* Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
* Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
* Engineer-in-Training achievement status accomplished
* Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials
* Practical field experience
* Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
Other Job Requirements
* Perform control systems sizing calculations for control valves, relief valves, flow elements, thermowells and other instrumentation
* Acquire basic knowledge of control systems procurement activities
* Create instrument index and datasheets and generate reports in Hexagon Smart Instrumentation database
* Acquire basic knowledge of Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) representation; be able to recognize/report problems associated with control systems representation on P&ID
* Attain basic knowledge to develop control systems narrative specifications
* Develop basic understanding of instrument design and installation requirements
* Basic knowledge to specify instrumentation
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of Microstation or AUTOCAD.
* Knowledge of Spanish low and high voltage standards and regulations.
* Knowledge of ETAP or SKM powertools.
