El Paraíso Golf Club, a prestigious member-owned golf course located on the Costa del Sol, is seeking a talented and driven
Financial Director
to oversee and elevate the financial operations of its group structure. With over 50 years of golfing heritage, the Club includes an 18-hole championship course, practice facilities, a bustling clubhouse, and a full-service restaurant.
This is a strategic yet hands-on leadership position, ideal for an individual who thrives in a dynamic, service-oriented, and commercially minded environment.
About the Role
The Financial Director will report directly to the Managing Director and play a key role in leading the financial health and planning of the group, which includes a holding company, two operating subsidiaries, and a members' association. Fluency in both
Spanish and English
(written and spoken) is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement financial strategies in line with the club's long-term goals.
* Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts for the Board and Executive team.
* Oversee the full annual accounts close, including statutory reporting in Spain and shareholder reporting.
* Ensure compliance with all Spanish tax reporting obligations across the group.
* Lead annual budgeting processes and produce detailed variance analyses.
* Manage group-wide cash flow, financial risk, and investment decisions.
* Coordinate internal controls and financial audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Recommend and implement financial system improvements and cost-efficiency initiatives.
* Collaborate across departments to support strategic business decisions.
Candidate Profile
* A professional accounting qualification (Spanish or international) is desirable but not essential.
* Strong experience in financial management, either in SMEs or audit/accounting firms.
* Solid understanding of Spanish tax and accounting compliance.
* Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software tools.
