Metric Geo have partnered with a quantum software company who are looking for a Director of Business Development with a background in Quantum/Photonics/High Tech Software Sales to join their team and lead their GTM.
About the role
* Create and develop a GTM strategy and provide strategic input for the company roadmap
* Working directly with the CEO to forge strategic partnerships and help with the set up of paid beta-trials
* Identify new markets, applications and customers for future and current products
* Involvement in future funding rounds, working to onboard investors and VC's
* Working with internal and external stakeholders to educate on product features and their benefits
About you
* Deep knowledge of the photonics industry and/or quantum industry
* Track record in creating and developing GTM strategy for another quantum/photonic company
* Experience with building major client relationships ⁃ 3+ years’ experience in leading product roadmap, specifications, benchmark, value propositions, product positioning, strategic price negotiations and customer engagement
* Education: Applied Physics, Photonics Engineering, Nanotechnology, Photonics or Quantum Interpersonal Skills and Personal Attributes
* A willingness to travel extensively, as required
* A leader with a hands‑on, ‘roll‑up‑your‑sleeves’ approach to the role
