Solar service engineer (barcelona)

We are hiring a Technical Field Engineer responsible for installation, commissioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Huawei’s ICT infrastructure.

• Installation Instruction: Provide installation training to customers or installers, ensuring all Huawei equipment is installed safely, reliably, and correctly.
• Transformer Station / Inverter Commissioning Instruction: Instruct the customer or installer to power on and configure the transformer station or inverter, ensuring normal operation of Huawei equipment.
• Monitoring System Operation Instruction: Teach the customer or installer how to build and use the Huawei monitoring system, ensuring communication and monitoring functions work normally and are easy to operate.
• Troubleshooting malfunctioned equipment: Locate the fault by remote support or on‑site service, and instruct the customer or maintenance personnel to recover the faulty equipment.
• Hardware replacement: Disassemble faulty equipment, install a replacement, bring it to normal operation, and return the faulty equipment to Huawei.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance triggered by Huawei, such as testing solar system performance, checking historical alarms, verifying cable connection reliability, and exporting inverter logs.

1. Good communication skills with customers, teamwork spirit, and the ability to work under pressure, coupled with professionalism, hard work, strong execution, and good learning ability.
2. Ability to travel up to 70%.
3. Contact with China R&D center colleagues; English and local language are required, Mandarin is a plus.
4. Experience with AC/DC power conversion and control.
5. Knowledge of mechanical principles, electronics, and AC/DC power distribution.
6. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical and electronic circuits.
7. Ability to read and understand electrical and electronic schematics and mechanical drawings.
8. Ability to configure and repair communication hardware and software.
9. Ability to lift and move objects up to 70 lbs.

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, information technologies, mechanical engineering, automatic control engineering, photovoltaic or renewable energy, etc.
• More than 1 year of experience in technical service or field engineering with on‑site experience.
• Strong analytical skills, detail‑oriented and strong communication skills.
• Experience in the PV inverter or storage industry is an advantage.
