Project Description:
We are looking for a strong Python Developer with database expertise to join a banking project. The role focuses on backend development, infrastructure as code, and cloud-based solutions within a regulated financial environment.
The ideal candidate combines hands-on development skills with solid database knowledge and understands the quality, security, and compliance standards required in enterprise banking systems.
Most Important: Python, Terraform, GCP
A plus is if: great SQL skills, experience with API Based Customer Search services/backends
German language (nice, but not needed)
Responsibilities:
* Design and develop backend services using Python
* Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform
* Develop and operate cloud-native solutions on GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
* Work with relational databases (design, optimization, query tuning)
* Implement secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions
* Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation processes
* Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with banking security and regulatory standards
* Support production systems and participate in incident analysis when needed
Mandatory Skills Description:
* Strong experience with Python (backend development, APIs, services)
* Hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
* Practical experience with GCP
* Solid understanding of database systems and data modeling
* Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments
* Understanding of secure coding practices
* Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
* Advanced SQL skills (query optimization, performance tuning)
* Experience with API-based Customer Search services or similar backend systems
* Knowledge of RESTful API design principles
* Experience with monitoring/logging tools
* Experience in banking or financial services domain
* German language skills (beneficial but not mandatory)
