Reporting into The Head of European Division, the Business Development Manager of several iconic global A-brands in FMCG will translate the growth strategy into distributor-focused plans in Europe. You will explore the optimal route to market structure for each market.
The primary focus of this role is reaching sales objectives, developing, fostering and maintaining relationships with visible and high-volume distributors.
Responsibility:
- Distributor Management: Manage relationships and plans with distributors through market visitation acting as key contact for all business requirements such as planning, production forecasting, customer service and program implementation;
- Typically including engagement with Marketing, Brand Management, Finance, Food Service and QA.
- Route to Market Optimization: Evaluate structure and adjust as necessary to deliver growth objective
- Data Driven Insights: Use sales data and consumer insight to draw meaningful conclusions and develop plans for the region.
- Project Management: Bring key initiatives to life by working cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
Qualification:
- Proven track record with a minimum of 6 years of work experience within the FMCG industry (preferable food)
- Go-getter: Ability to be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, thinks creatively and acts on innovative ideas while also remaining calm under pressure
- Strong project management skills: Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple complex projects (attention to details & accuracy)
- Distributor management experience
- Fluent in English, knowledge of other languages a plus
