Overview:
We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and critical-thinking Senior Producer to help evaluate, document, prioritize, and approve licensing partners in the live entertainment and immersive experience sectors. This role will assess both the operational, production and technical production capabilities of prospective partners, ensuring alignment with brand standards and delivery expectations. The ideal freelancer brings a hybrid background in event production, technical execution, and business development, with strong insight into international touring, installations, and fixed venue shows.
Scope of Work:
Opportunity Analysis
1. Identify and analyze new licensing and co-production opportunities in key global markets.
2. Conduct due diligence on potential partners, including financials, staffing, and previous work.
3. Review P&Ls, cash flow statements, and budget breakdowns to determine financial viability.
Partner Engagement
4. Meet with potential licensing partners to assess their infrastructure, technical resources, and staffing.
5. Contribute to a live database of current and prospective partners categorized by capability, geography, and project type.
6. Investigate and confirm partner reputation through industry references and completed projects.
7. Communicate the show's requirements to partners and respond to key questions about the operational and technical riders.
Technical & Production Validation
8. Evaluate .DWG drawings of venues for preliminary validations.
9. Validate the technical production experience of partners—rigging, AV, lighting, scenic, show control, Networking and carpentry.
10. Evaluate partners' access to qualified technical crew, equipment, and in-house capabilities.
11. Assess readiness for site-specific builds, tours, and non-traditional venue environments.
12. Ensure proposed events are scalable and executable within required specs, timelines, and budgets.
13. Validate the operational experience of partners and assess their capabilities in delivering long running installations safely and efficiently.
Internal Collaboration
14. Advise business development and production teams on which licensing leads represent the highest value and lowest risk.
15. Consult with internal producers, technical directors, and project managers to align partner selection with creative and operational needs.
16. Contribute to contract and scope of work documentation by providing clear evaluations of technical capacity.
Qualifications & Experience:
17. 5+ years of experience in live event production, immersive experiences, or technical show management.
18. Expertise in technical production domains (lighting, sound, AV, staging, rigging, scenic build or show control).
19. Proven ability to evaluate vendors, venues, and licensing partners from both a business and technical standpoint.
20. Familiarity with international production environments, standards, and logistics.
21. Ability to interpret and critique production budgets, technical drawings, schedules, and equipment specs.
22. Excellent communication, negotiation, and partner relationship skills.
23. Organized, proactive, and able to work cross-functionally with business, creative, and technical teams.
