Position Overview
Azure Cloud Engineer – DXC Spain is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join our cloud team. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for cloud technology implementation and configuration. In collaboration with architects, you will code, deploy, and support cloud solutions efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Deliver, maintain, and optimize Azure cloud platforms and related infrastructure, networking, database, and middleware capabilities.
- Create and review cloud solution designs, ensuring they support operational capacity and availability.
- Monitor, maintain, and support the operational capacity, availability, and performance of cloud solutions against SLAs from a level two and level three support perspective.
- Deploy new projects within the existing cloud infrastructure.
- Drive engineering discussions with public cloud service providers to forecast and right‑size long‑term capacity and performance requirements, iterating regularly.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in design and engineering roles for systems analysis and infrastructure & network design in web‑scale environments.
- Experience with infrastructure & network automation and configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of public cloud IaaS and PaaS deployment models and technologies.
- Network knowledge and experience in large‑scale datacenter environments.
- Highly cross‑functional and able to perform adjacent roles and responsibilities at short notice.
- Strong relationship building, persuasion, and collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill difficult technical concepts into simple and actionable practices.
- Experience with automation and IaC (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins), version control (e.g. Git), CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, TFS, Travis CI), containers (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), infrastructure testing (e.g. ServerSpec), infrastructure security (e.g. OWASP ZAP), or test automation (e.g. Selenium, Gatling).
