* This is a 12-month contract at GE Healthcare, focusing on creating solutions for healthcare professionals, researchers, and scientists. The role involves serving as a key contact for customers, addressing service repair needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.
* Summary of the role
* As a Field Service Engineer Apprentice, you will handle daily service repair needs of medical equipment across various modalities, including Biomedical, Infant Care, Anesthesia, Ventilation, Mammography, X-ray, Ultrasound, and potentially other modalities like MR and CT in the future.
* Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair in a hospital environment.
* Completing Preventive and Corrective Maintenance and Field Modification Instructions.
* Ordering and managing repair parts and debriefing.
* Communicating daily with customers to ensure resolution and follow-up.
* Maintaining tools and test equipment, ensuring calibration.
* Meeting health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
* Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Bio-medical Engineering, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering (recent diploma within the past 5 years).
* Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Passion for working in an international environment and collaborating across locations.
* Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
