Position summary: The Sales Account Manager for Business Development (100% hunting) is responsible for developing new business relationships, specifically with clients in the clinical & pharma sector, and serving as the first level of support to prospective clients. The role involves the full sales cycle from prospection to onboarding of new clients, but not ongoing account management. The successful candidate will join TransPerfect's Trial Interactive division.

Position responsibilities:
* Develop an understanding of TransPerfect’s services, benefits, and competitive advantages.
* Identify prospective customers and organizations for sales activities.
* Develop new client relationships via cold calling, internet, and trade shows.
* Coordinate with Sales Management to identify, qualify, develop, and close sales opportunities.
* Promote and educate clients about TransPerfect’s services.
* Provide customer support and manage client expectations with the Production team.
* Manage pricing and contractual issues, understanding company procedures.
* Cross-sell and upsell services within client departments to optimize profitability.
* Learn about each client’s industry, needs, and culture to identify new opportunities.
* Perform other projects or duties as assigned by management.
Essential skills and experience:
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
* Native German speaker.
* Excellent written and spoken English skills.
* At least 1 year of sales experience.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships.
* Motivated, proactive, results-driven, and independent work ethic.
* Strong analytical skills for revenue projection and budgeting.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Interest in Strategic Business Development as a career.
Desired skills and experience:
* Experience working in a corporate role within the pharma sector.
* Experience in hunting for new business.
* Managing full sales cycle experience.
* Proficiency in Italian or additional languages is a plus.
