The ideal candidate
* Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) for secondary History teaching
* Experience teaching A Levels and IGCSE
* Recent and relevant experience teaching History in a UK school setting
* Deep and thorough subject knowledge in History
* Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to collaborate on planning and resource development
* Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual learners
* High expectations for student achievement and behaviour, supported by effective classroom management
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
* Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to contribute positively to the success of the department
