Overview
Join to apply for the South Europe P&L Leader - Grid Automation (m / f / d) role at GE Vernova. The role is based in Bilbao, Spain, covering Southern Europe. The Grid Automation P&L Leader will oversee Operations within the geography, including one main unit in Spain and three front offices in Portugal, Romania and Italy.
The scope includes the GA Portfolio, our GridBeats offering (software-defined solutions such as Substations Monitoring, APM / DvM, Sensors, Autonomous Distribution, Integrated Digital Substations, Cybersecurity) and a portfolio of core Protection & Control activity. The position involves business development and growth in coordination with the regional Commercial organization in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote a safe working environment, ensure compliance with EHS, quality and Integrity policies (GE Values)
* Drive Grid Automation growth within the region; build strategy in collaboration with commercial / sales and with operational capabilities
* Deliver the Budget P&L: orders growth, sales, margin, cash, cost control, Risks & Opportunities, and recovery & mitigations plan
* Build a lean, performing regional organization with a team spread across sites and front offices: Germany, Poland, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Latvia
* Lead change management to ensure accountability, business focus and customer mindset within the team
* Build strong long-term relationships with customers
* Manage skills and development plan of the team (around 120 employees across the mentioned regions: project & account management, expertise for complex projects)
Reporting line: Regional General Manager of the region (Europe & SSA)
Qualifications / Requirements
* Master’s degree from an accredited university / college or equivalent knowledge / experience
* 15 years of working experience in a similar position with a consistent career path and strong business acumen
* Proven experience in leading P&L, strong business acumen with successful management experience and discipline in managing a business line
* Strong capacity to lead multi-cultural teams and to work in an international matrix organization; ability to interact at various levels including executive leaders
* Ability to influence and drive changes through exceptional leadership & communication skills, personal engagement, resilience, autonomy
* Strong understanding of the Energy market & Power distribution
* Native German and fluent English is a must
