Client Support Worker – Sea Recovery
Role Overview
The Client Support Worker ensures a safe, structured, and supportive experience for clients throughout their recovery stay. This role combines premium personal assistance, emotional presence, transportation, excursions, and coordination with external licensed professionals. As part of Sea Recovery’s concierge-style recovery environment, the position requires professionalism, warmth, and the ability to deliver a high-end, discreet experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Support & Daily Assistance
* Provide calm, attentive, and compassionate support to clients throughout their daily routines.
* Assist with structuring the day, keeping clients on schedule, and offering grounding support when needed.
* Offer non-clinical emotional support through active listening and positive, reassuring communication.
2. Transportation & Driving
* Safely transport clients to external appointments (medical, therapeutic, wellness).
* Provide airport pick-ups and drop-offs with punctuality, professionalism, and courtesy.
* Maintain vehicle readiness (cleanliness, fuel, comfort, safety checks).
* Plan routes and adapt to traffic or schedule changes smoothly.
* Ensure a premium standard of comfort and discretion during all journeys.
3. Excursions, Outings & Entertainment
* Organise, plan, and accompany clients on local excursions such as beach walks, nature outings, cultural visits, wellness activities, or light recreation.
* Provide engaging companionship during outings while maintaining professional boundaries.
* Facilitate enjoyable but safe experiences that align with the client’s recovery goals and personal interests.
* Support clients in exploring Marbella, San Roque, Sotogrande, and surrounding areas in a mindful and structured way.
* Ensure all excursions are risk-aware, grounded, and aligned with the client’s personalised recovery programme.
4. Coordination With External Providers
* Liaise with partner clinics, doctors, therapists, and wellness practitioners to ensure seamless scheduling and logistics.
* Accompany clients to appointments when appropriate, guaranteeing confidentiality and professionalism.
* Communicate logistical updates and relevant observations to senior staff.
5. Monitoring & Reporting
* Track and document daily wellbeing observations, routines, participation, and behaviour shifts.
* Immediately escalate any concerns related to emotional distress, risks, or incidents to management.
* Keep factual, clear records without providing any clinical interpretation or advice.
6. Safety, Boundaries & Compliance
* Work strictly within Sea Recovery’s non-medical facilitation model — offering support, not treatment.
* Follow all protocols relating to safety, safeguarding, confidentiality (GDPR), and incident reporting.
* Maintain firm yet compassionate boundaries with clients at all times.
* Ensure all excursions and drives follow risk assessment guidelines.
7. Hospitality & Premium Service Delivery
* Create a high-quality, peaceful, and comfortable environment that reflects Sea Recovery’s brand.
* Assist with client intake, orientation, and comfort throughout their stay.
* Support practical needs (meals coordination, personal requests, housekeeping liaison) with discretion and efficiency.
8. Holistic Recovery Facilitation
* Encourage clients in healthy habits such as mindfulness, journaling, light exercise, and structured routines.
* Provide grounding techniques and supportive presence during moments of anxiety or overwhelm.
* Help clients feel motivated, connected, and positively engaged throughout their programme.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Experience in support work, wellness, hospitality, or mental-health-adjacent roles.
* Clean driving licence and confident, safe driving skills.
* Previous experience providing companionship, excursions, or client activities is an advantage.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills: empathy, emotional intelligence, grounded communication.
* Discretion and comfort working with high-end clientele (HNWI/UHNWI).
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
* English required; Spanish an advantage.

* Shift-based or residential work depending on client programme.
* Flexible hours, including possible evenings or weekends.
* Regular local travel and occasional longer-distance drives.
* Supported by Operations Manager and working collaboratively with external professionals.
