Job SummaryAs a Research Analyst, you will be part of our Operations team and report directly to the regional team leader. You will be an individual contributor but will also collaborate with Senior Research Analysts and Editors on projects and their professional development. Your role involves conducting research on internet and web-based media databases and producing high-quality reports on companies and/or individuals using a combination of publicly available and proprietary sources. You must ensure that reports and daily updates meet our standards for content quality, accuracy, timeliness, and completeness by adhering to The Search Group’s standards.
Role and Responsibilities
Conduct research on internet or web-based media databases.
Produce high-quality reports involving research and analysis in different languages, requiring fluency in English and one of the following:
Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Lithuanian, Arabic, French, Polish, or Czech.
Perform first-level quality control through peer review.
Carry out watchlist database screening for Due Diligence checks.
Contribute to improving report writing processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
Engage with the Research team in other offices, seek feedback, obtain updates, and manage report delivery expectations.
Stay informed about regional and industry trends.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure the integrity of key products.
Participate actively in ad-hoc projects and demonstrate a hands-on approach to work.
Qualifications, Skills & Education
Degree at the tertiary level, ideally in Law, Political Science, International Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in due diligence, professional services, or related report generation.
Fluency in English and at least one of the following languages:
Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Lithuanian, Arabic, French, Polish, or Czech.
Proficiency in additional languages is a strong plus.
Ability to oversee and support other research analysts and monitor their work.
Leadership and project management skills.
Excellent research skills across all media and understanding of risk and compliance issues.
Ability to conduct ad hoc and bespoke research.
Knowledge of Office products, internet searches, and social media platforms.
Consistent timeliness in report delivery.
Dedication to continual learning and a client-focused approach.
High integrity and professionalism.
