Are you passionate about game design and eager to create unforgettable racing game experiences? Our Barcelona studio is looking for a Level Design Intern to join our team! This is a great opportunity to learn directly from experienced designers in a dynamic, international environment.
As a member of the Level Design team, you’ll be guided by our Senior Designers and Studio Lead to:
* Learn how to design and prototype fun, immersive levels for racing games.
* Collaborate with the art and development teams to ensure high quality and on-time delivery.
* Document, analyze, and iterate on level designs, including competitive benchmarking to learn and improve.
* Keep the design documentation clear and up to date throughout the development process.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this internship, you must be able to sign a learning agreement with a school or university.
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Passionate about video games, especially game design.
* Has basic knowledge of game design principles (3Cs, learning curve, difficulty balancing, pacing, accessibility, etc.).
* Familiar with 3DS Max.
* Has experience using level editors (Unity, UE4, UDK, etc.) and can create prototypes.
* Has basic scripting knowledge (C++, Lua, or similar) to support prototyping.
* Comfortable illustrating ideas visually using tools like Photoshop, SketchUp, PowerPoint, or similar.
* Open to feedback, willing to critique your own work, and proactive in improving it.
* Can communicate in English (intermediate level or above).
