From Axpe Consulting, we are looking for a Murex Support Functional Specialist with strong business and functional expertise. We are seeking professionals who can act as the bridge between business users and technology, ensuring Murex delivers maximum value for the organization.
Role Overview
As a Murex Support Functional Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic support team, working within agile or traditional frameworks. Your mission is to assist users across multiple areas (Risk, Trading, Regulatory, etc.), ensuring smooth operations, solving issues, and helping the business achieve its objectives by leveraging Murex to its full potential.
You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and IT, ensuring clear communication, functional analysis, and effective problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a trusted partner to business users, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
* Provide functional support to teams with clarity, consistency, and determination.
* Monitor and follow up on development and testing activities with different teams.
* Participate in periodic on-call support rotations.
* Identify and help remove impediments and risks, escalating when necessary.
* Facilitate effective communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution across teams.
* Drive continuous improvement of processes and collaboration between business and IT.
* Ensure transparency by providing clear, timely updates and documentation.
Required Skills & Knowledge
General Expertise:
* Solid understanding of the financial products life cycle.
* Excellent communication skills with Front Office, Risk, and IT stakeholders.
* Strong problem-solving and resolution-oriented mindset.
* Ability to analyze, document, and prevent issues related to Murex and its integrations.
* Knowledge of P&L and sensitivities.
Murex Expertise (3–4 years minimum, functional role):
* Static & market data management; GOM configurations (permissions, FO desk setup).
* Simulations (viewers/layouts, PLVA, topography).
* Trade lifecycle management across product families.
* P&L composition, risk factors, and sensitivities.
* Market data (curves, assignments, troubleshooting).
* Reporting (trade queries, simulation views, dynamic tables, filters).
* Pre-trade functional understanding.
* Integration overview (XML flows, Murex workflows – functional perspective).
* MRB module knowledge (functional).
