Overview
Edged Spain has an exciting opportunity for a Regional Commissioning & Transition Manager. In this position, you will work directly with the Regional Operations Director, Regional Project Director, and Data Center Site Managers, responsible for the planning and coordination of the commissioning for large-scale greenfield data centers and retrofit live data centers. The role requires agility, professionalism, and comfort in a rapidly changing environment. Key responsibilities
* Project Management:
Create and implement multi-facility, standards-based commissioning plans and schedules;
provide input on new and existing Critical Environment Programs;
communicate with business operations and construction managers;
manage regional pipeline for resource planning;
liaise with internal construction managers and external general contractors;
maintain commissioning logs and checklists;
develop electrical and mechanical Functional Performance Test procedures and Factory Acceptance Test Procedures.
* Design Phase:
Develop and review Owner\ 's Project Requirements and Commissioning Documents;
write Commissioning Plans and Programs;
lead stakeholder meetings and kick-offs;
create project directories and align commissioning timelines.
* Construction Phase:
Manage Level 2–4 Commissioning Workshops and testing;
attend and report on Factory & Field Witness Tests;
draft test scripts, checklists, and observation reports;
conduct weekly commissioning and client meetings;
track progress and keepdocumentation up to date.
* Acceptance Phase:
Lead Level 4–5 Commissioning efforts;
analyze and present commissioning data to stakeholders;
prepare detailed reports and oversee Integrated Systems Testing;
handover with training for operational teams;
review O&M documentation;
facilitate lessons learned workshops;
deliver the Final Commissioning Report.
* Handover Phase/Process Management:
Coordinate training for operational teams;
ensure compliance with commissioning processes and escalate improvements to senior management;
develop standardized schedules and commissioning scopes based on customer contracts;
report progress for allprojects during the commissioning phase in coordination with the construction project manager;
prepare commissioning test procedures and reports;
compile historical dataon equipment startup and testing challenges for vendors.
* Reporting & Vendor Management:
Lead internal and external progress reporting;
produce comprehensive reports with recommendations for optimizing building operations;
conduct quarterly vendor reviews and establish KPIs;
manage commissioning RFPs and bid clarifications;
coordinate external resources and lessons learned;
manage vendor interactions and KPI development.
* Skills & Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant commissioning experience in data center or industrial environments;
proven ability to implement new frameworks, policies, and procedures;
track record of leadingdiverse multi-country teams;
strong communication and influencing skills;
fluent in English.
