Overview
Lead Field Service Technician role at Thermal Works LLC, part of Endeavour Energy, focusing on startup/commissioning and service for Thermal Works equipment. We seek a detail-oriented, goal-driven professional with foundational HVAC knowledge, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The role supports sustainable, zero-water cooling solutions for data centers and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in a comprehensive training program at Thermal Works' U.S. headquarters.
* Manage preventive maintenance and service schedules.
* Perform on-site quality control for the installation of Thermal Works products.
* Perform all preventive maintenance and service needs for clients.
* Be available to address emergency issues on call.
* Monitor service software to ensure timely service delivery.
* Collaborate with different departments within the company for product development and improvement.
* Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repair of Thermal Works equipment.
Qualifications
* Education / Experience:
Technical or Vocational Degree/Certification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or Electromechanical Systems (e.G., Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior en Mantenimiento de Instalaciones Térmicas y de Fluidos in Spain).
* F-Gas Category I Certification (EC Regulation No. 517/2014) required for handling fluorinated gases.
* 3–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical systems for mission-critical infrastructure (data centers, healthcare, or industrial facilities).
* Experience with chillers and CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler) units, including installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Familiarity with EU safety standards, PED, and EN 378 refrigeration safety norms.
* Ability to perform diagnostics, repairs, and system optimizations in live environments.
Skills & Abilities
* Baseline circuit analysis and troubleshooting of electrical components.
* Knowledge of hydronic systems.
* Ability to effectively troubleshoot HVAC systems.
* Understanding of refrigeration theory and hands-on applied sciences.
* Strong written and verbal communication with an emphasis on customer service.
* Fluent in English and Spanish (additional European languages are a plus).
* Ability to read drawings at a basic level.
* Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
