We are looking for an Event Manager to handle the delivery broadcast services to high-profile customers in the sports industry. Based on-site, the Event Manager will work to deliver the Deltatre value proposition, including data management and broadcast graphics operations.
Responsible for coordinating a team of part-time operators, the role will also include being heavily involved in day-to-day operations and customer management.
This role will have shared on-site responsibility, in partnership with Technology and IT & Broadcast teams, involving the testing and operation of Deltatre hardware and software.
To be successful in this role, fluency in Spanish and English is required.
Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of event management and delivery, sometimes for multiple projects.
* Work throughout the project lifecycle, from Discovery, through the Build, to successful launch, with guidance from the Project Manager.
* Collaborate closely with the PM, Technology Team Manager, and backlog owner to maintain a project backlog aligned with client needs.
* Support the PM in requirements gathering and manage project relationships.
* Provide live support during key operations involving data and TV graphics deliveries.
* Supervise on-site operations during live events involving data and TV graphics.
* Schedule staff and on-call personnel working on projects in collaboration with the Project Manager and Operations Lead.
* Liaise with IT & Broadcast Team for hardware allocation on projects.
* Write and maintain project Operations documentation, updating processes as needed.
* Ensure all operations have effective, regularly updated checklists to minimize delivery risks.
* Ensure successful delivery of all on-site project operations and proper reporting to clients and internal managers.
* Respect project budgets and capacity, coordinating with the Project Manager and Service Portfolio Manager.
* Coordinate with third-party suppliers for project delivery.
* Manage debrief and reporting processes, ensuring timely issue reporting.
* Regularly sync and debrief with operators to share knowledge and feedback.
* Identify and communicate commercial and development opportunities within Deltatre.
* Assist in recruitment and training of new staff where applicable.
* Organize project-related travel and logistics as needed.
* Support the collection of operational requirements to improve tools and processes.
* The ideal candidate will have a passion for sport and a solid understanding of live broadcast environments and production requirements, especially live operations management.
* Strong knowledge of football.
* Extensive client-facing experience in an event role.
* Experience in the TV broadcast sector.
* Experience managing project technologies and personnel.
* Knowledge of VizRT graphics platform.
* Understanding of software development processes, including QA, is desirable.
* Availability to work shifts, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
* Willingness to travel as needed for projects.
