Carburos Metálicos, part of the Air Products group, is dedicated to reimagining solutions for energy and environmental challenges. With over 800 professionals in Spain, they produce and distribute essential industrial and medical gases for daily life, such as oxygen for medical applications, CO2 for food, hydrogen for mobility, and acetylene for welding.
We are looking for a Procurement Category Manager based in Barcelona .

As a Procurement Category Manager, you will:
* Commodity Strategy : Lead the process to develop, negotiate, implement, and sustain commodity strategies aligned with business objectives. Lead project prioritization with stakeholders for both main areas in scope, Operations and Real Estate.
* Market Intelligence : Develop knowledge and benchmarks for market conditions to understand pricing trends, demand, capacity constraints, and financial stability of suppliers.
* Contract Management : Participate in service level review agreements, resolve commercial issues, and review terms and conditions for new contracts.
* Supplier Management : Manage supplier service level agreements, enhance contractor performance, and ensure compliance with safety and ethical trading requirements.
* Procurement Processes : Conduct RFP and RFQ events, market research, supplier risk evaluation, and manage purchase orders and invoice issues. Identify areas for improvement in the procurement to pay process and implement necessary changes.
* Compliance and M&A : Ensure compliance with local, regional, and global agreements and procedures, and support procurement M&A activities when required.
You will have:
* Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain or Engineering discipline.
* Proven experience in defining, leading, and developing Sourcing Strategies, understanding of purchasing terms and conditions and commercial acumen is required, as well as international market experience.
* Real Estate knowledge will be advantageous.
* SAP ERP knowledge required.
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
* Excellent written and oral Spanish and English language skills (French and Portuguese language skill is advantageous).
* Location: Office-based, with some travel required to visit suppliers and company sites.
* Countries served: Spain, Portugal, Northern Africa, Italy.
