Financial Manager/ Controller – El Paraíso Golf Club (Costa del Sol, Spain)

El Paraíso Golf Club, a prestigious member-owned golf course located on the Costa del Sol, is seeking a talented and driven Financial Manager/ Controller to oversee and elevate the financial operations of its group structure. With over 50 years of golfing heritage, the Club includes an 18-hole championship course, an active driving range and practice facilities, a bustling clubhouse with an Inhouse managed restaurant.
This is a strategic yet hands-on leadership position, adecuado for an individual who thrives in a dynamic, service-oriented, and commercially minded environment.
About the Role
The Financial Director/Controller will report directly to the Managing Director and play a key role in leading the financial health and planning of the group, which includes a holding company, two operating subsidiaries, and a members’ association. Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken) is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement financial strategies in line with the club’s long-term goals.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts for the Board and Executive team.
Oversee the full annual accounts close, including statutory reporting in Spain and shareholder reporting.
Ensure compliance with all Spanish tax reporting obligations across the group.
Lead annual budgeting processes and produce detailed variance analyses.
Manage group-wide cash flow, financial risk, and investment decisions.
Coordinate internal controls and financial audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
Recommend and implement financial system improvements and cost-efficiency initiatives.
Collaborate across departments to support strategic business decisions.
Candidate Profile
A professional accounting qualification (Spanish or international) is desirable but not essential.
Strong experience in financial management, either in SMEs or audit/accounting firms.
Solid understanding of Spanish tax and accounting compliance.
Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software tools.
