We are seeking a full-time "CMDB Discovery Specialist" with hands-on experience in ServiceNow Discovery to join our client's Process and Governance Team.
The primary responsibility of this role is to configure and optimize the discovery of IT assets across the enterprise, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).Other activities are part of this position such as data clean-up, collaborating on writing SOPs, delivering training, and working hand in hand with our business.
Responsibilities :
* Configure, manage, and optimize ServiceNow Discovery to identify and map infrastructure components and services.
* Perform data cleanup and normalization activities to maintain CMDB integrity and process duplicates or stale records.
* Develop, implement, and maintain data quality standars, policies and procedures for the CMDB.
* Perform regular data quality assessments and reports to identify and address discrepancies, inconsistencies, and errors.
* Collaborate with infrastructure, network, application teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate discovery coverage and updates in the CMDB.
* Monitor and report on data quality metrics, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management and relevant stakeholders
* Provide guidance and support to CMDB users, ensuring they understand data quality expectations and best practices.
* Support CMDB System Owner in updating documentation, SOP (Standard Operation Procedures) and conducting training.
* Basic understanding on analysis of discovery logs and troubleshoot issues related to probes, sensors, and patterns.
SKILLS:
* Experience with discovery tools preferably with ServiceNow (e.g., BMC Discovery, Tanium, SCCM, Qualys).
* Previous Experience in data quality management within a CMDB context.
* Strong knowledge of CMDB data modelling, data governance, and data lifecycle management principles.
* Familiarity with ITIL, and service management tools, preferably with ServiceNow.
* Positive attitude, excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
* Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify data quality issues and devise solutions.
* Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, tools, and technologies.
• Fluent in English.
SCHEDULE :
* From Monday to Friday: 08 am to 17 pm / 09 am to 18 pm (flexible)
* Hybrid position (1 day of office work, 4 days by remote)
