**Project: AI4WATER: Digital twins for irrigation agriculture.The AI4WATER project proposes optimizing the use of available water resources, to mitigate the effects of increasing water scarcity in agriculture and to improve food safety through the creation of a digital twin (DT) in an irrigation sector of the Segarra-Garrigues region (Lleida). Participants in the project are the Specific Research Centre in Communication and Detection of the UPC (CommSensLab-UPC), the Center for Industrial Equipment Design (CDEI) and the Geophysics and Earthquake Engineering (GiES) group of the UPC.**Job description and tasks**- Assisting the robot’s prototype development.- Assisting the development and implementation of control and navigation strategies.- Assisting the development of AI and ML strategies for detecting patrons on electromagnetic signals and relate them with soil humidity.- The duration of the project is 12 months. Possibility to continue once the project is finished.**Requirements / research interests**- Robot’s design and development- Previous experience in mobile robotics- ROS, Gazebo- AI and Machine Learning- Data fusion- Motivated and autonomous- English is highly desirable
