JOB DESCRIPTION
Calucem is a Specialty Cement producer and has been in Calcium Aluminate Cement (CAC) for around 100 years.
After nearly a century as leaders in calcium aluminate cement solutions, at Calucem, we take a step forward and renew our visual identity by aligning ourselves with the new identity of Molins, the company we belong to.

We are seeking a highly experienced Laboratory Manager who will be responsible of the global technical centre, providing required laboratory support to global sales and technical teams to ensure sales development according to company ambition
s.He/She oversees the development of the laboratory know-how, he/she is fully responsible of projects deliverables (R&D, Innovation, products development), manages the laboratory team in term of work organisation, skills development, safety, and equipment supervision, and reports to CCTO to whom he/she is accountable for consolidating required information to monitor the company performance.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
As a Laboratory Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
* Support for customers in all the sales regions; support for all field of applications (Building Chemistry, Refractories, Rapid hardening binders,...).
* Manage the laboratory team by advising and evaluating certain laboratory test methods.
* Manage the safety, supply and equipment maintenance of the laboratory.
* Customers’ projects follow up, visits with the aim of laboratory support for sales.
* Understanding customer requirements and their implementation in research projects upstream customer trials.
* Project management of research and development together with customers and/or external partners.
* Product formulations and branch-specific developments.
* Responsible for new product developments and customer expectations, with the implementation of lab test series in coordination with Technical Managers.
* Ensuring the timely completion of the analyzes.
* Collaborate in project work, development, and optimization of new and / or alternative binders.
* Preparation of reports and supporting the team in reports preparation.
* Collaboration in the preparation of data for marketing and technical support documents.
* The worker is obliged to attend the courses and trainings referred by the employer.
* In the daily work it adheres to all procedures, quality plans, operating instructions of the IMS system, with special attention to the protection of the environment, hazardous waste and its disposal, and fully applies all rules of law and act with regard to occupational safety.
* According to the needs of the work organization, as well as at the behest of its direct superior, it may perform other tasks according to the priority or order of its direct superior, in compliance with its professional competence and mental and physical abilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
We are hiring a professional who meets the following requirements:
* Bachelor's degree, PhD.
* Building chemistry degree (chemistry, cement, concrete, mineralogy).
* CAC applications development experience (mortars, refractories, mining, sewers).
* Skills of project management, team management, CAC clinker knowledge, mortars formulations know-how, customer support oriented and building chemistry university academic network.
* Competencies of communication, innovation/ flexibility, entrepreneurship, safety and crossfunctional.
