RESPONSIBILITIES
The Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is looking for a Postdoc Researcher to be part of the group: Sterol and terpenoid metabolism in plant development and stress responses.
The candidate will be in charge of characterizing the effects of changes in the profile of free and conjugated sterols on tomato plant and fruit development and biotic and abiotic stress responses.
The tasks are included within the framework of the project PID2024-161535NB-I00 entitled: Metabolic bases of the developmental and stress-related phenotypes associated to tomato altered sterol homeostasis.
REQUIREMENTS
Educational requirements:
* PhD obtained recently, preferably within the last six months
* PhD Degree in Plant Biology and Biotechnology
Skills:
* Critical thinking
* Teamwork skills
* Mentoring ability
Experience:
* Strong background in plant molecular biology techniques, tools and experimental approaches.
* Strong background in the study of conjugated sterol biosynthesis in tomato, including good knowledge of gas chromatographic analysis of free and conjugated sterols.
