We are leaders in digital technology services, providing large-scale technological solutions to major companies. We are currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to work closely with one of our main clients in the financial sector.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
* Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand needs and design data-driven solutions.
* Lead prototyping workshops to clarify objectives and collaborate across Global Technology Shared Services to operationalize solutions.
* Differentiate approaches for self-service BI versus corporate BI, including data sources and ETL methods.
* Drive reporting efficiencies, develop training for Power BI users, and promote Power Platform solutions.
* Act as a Power BI evangelist, stay updated on technology trends, and assess use cases and alternatives.
* Contribute to Power Platform governance and assess adoption and satisfaction levels.
* Be a change ambassador, fostering collaboration and innovative problem-solving.
Qualifications:
* Over 10 years of experience as a Data Engineer, skilled in data analysis, modeling, and ETL design.
* Expertise in SQL, performance tuning, and handling large datasets.
* Knowledge of enterprise big data architectures and reporting solutions like Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, and SSAS.
* Experience with Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, and Power Platform tools.
* Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, Azure DevOps, and security models.
* Proficiency in English (C1 level) for international collaboration.
Nice to have:
* Experience in reporting governance and organizational adoption.
* Knowledge of SAFe practices.
* Experience with data interfaces like APIs, Snowflake, and various file formats.
* Understanding of Data Quality practices.
Location and schedule:
100% remote within Spain, working during business hours, with flexible schedules and no intensive Fridays or summer hours.
