Job Description
As a member of the IDIADA Group Body & Passive Safety division, you will be part of the Body Design team, being directly involved in engineering development projects for global automotive clients.
Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Body Design Managers, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading the product development of automotive parts
2. Creating and managing 3D CAD models and 2D drawings
3. Developing customer-oriented solutions for the automotive industry
Key Functions
4. Project Execution and Dynamic Management: Apply your technical knowledge and extensive experience to efficiently manage assigned projects
5. Client-Organization Interface: Act as a strategic point of contact between the external client and our organization
6. Technical Requirements Fulfillment: Ensure all deliverables meet client standards and specifications
7. Corporate Goals Contribution: Support the consolidation and achievement of assigned objectives in terms of growth, competitiveness, and profitability

Qualifications
Professional Qualifications and Requirements
Education & Experience
8. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design, or Automotive Engineering specialization
9. Vocational training or equivalent demonstrated practical experience accepted
10. Minimum 5 years of experience as a designer with proven CATIA v5 proficiency (mandatory)
Language Skills
11. Advanced proficiency in English is required
12. Knowledge of local languages is highly valued
13. Proficiency in additional languages will be considered an asset
Professional Competencies
14. Strong customer orientation with the ability to accurately assess and respond to client needs
15. Technical leadership capabilities for effectively leading and participating in technical meetings
16. Flexibility for travel and temporary relocation to other countries when project requirements demand it
17. Team collaboration skills with demonstrated leadership in dynamic and multicultural work environments
Technical Skills
18. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Automotive field
19. Proficiency in CATIA v5 and experience working in automotive-related projects
20. Extensive experience in automotive components development, including:Interior and Exterior Trims partsBody-in-White (BiW) structuresClosures systemsCarbon Fiber parts
21. Experience in design with sustainable materials will be considered an asset
22. Experience conducting technical feasibility studies, 3D/2D parts modeling, and technical documentation
23. Knowledge of automotive industry standards and regulations
24. Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
25. Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
26. Experience collaborating with parts suppliers, moldflow or stamping simulations will be considered an asset
