Business Development Lead – B2B Sales in Healthcare & Food

SPRIM, a global consulting and agency group, is looking for a commercially driven Business Development Lead with a strong hunter mindset to accelerate growth across the Healthcare, Food and Nutrition markets.
This role is exclusively focused on complex B2B sales of marketing healthcare & food services, medical communications and creative omnichannel engagement solutions.
Your Mission
To generate new business, open market opportunities and close high-value deals, owning the full sales cycle end-to-end with pharma, biotech, CHC, medical nutrition and food & nutrition clients at European level
You will report to the Head of Business Development & Strategic Accounts and work closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications in Madrid, acting as the commercial engine connecting clients with scientific, creative and strategic teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & New Business
* Actively prospect, qualify and close new clients, selling marketing, communications, medical content, creative campaigns and omnichannel programs.
* Build, manage and convert a strong and predictable sales pipeline, with clear focus on forecast accuracy and closing ratios.
* Execute proactive outbound strategies: email outreach, direct prospecting, networking, cold calling, congresses and industry events.
* Lead sales meetings, present the agency, uncover real client needs and translate them into compelling value propositions.
* Negotiate commercial terms, manage procurement processes and close deals end-to-end.
Account Growth & Sales Operations
* Identify and activate upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
* Collaborate closely with marketing, scientific and creative teams to define scope, pricing and winning proposals.
* Track market and consumer/patients trends within the European food & healthcare landscape.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity in CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).
* Report pipeline, forecasts, closed deals and commercial performance to leadership.
Requirements
✔ 3–5+ years of direct B2B sales experience selling marketing, communications or medical communications services in Healthcare, Food or Nutrition.
✔ Proven experience in agencies or specialized consultancies.
✔ Demonstrated track record in new business generation and closing complex B2B deals.
✔ Experience managing long sales cycles with multiple decision-makers.
✔ Strong knowledge of the European healthcare and food environment.
Background & Skills
* 7–10 years of total professional experience.
* Degree in Business, Marketing or related fields.
* Life Sciences or Food industry background (Pharmacy, Biology, Nutrition, etc.) is a strong plus.
* Hunter mentality, strong results orientation and consultative selling skills.
* Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
* Fluent Spanish and English
* CRM proficiency (Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, Zoho).
