Senior Underwriting Assistant
Senior UA reports to the Team Leader of the Line of Business where he/she is working.

The role holder provides support to Underwriting and ensures that the administrative processes for the end-to-end policy lifecycle are run efficiently and at a high quality to serve internal and external clients. The Senior UA also takes responsibility for more complex accounts and has in-depth knowledge of at least one line of business, supporting UW in pre- and post-bind processes.
Responsibilities
* Handling contracts: master policies, international programs outgoing and incoming, efficiently and correctly for new and established businesses, including sending, receiving, and controlling.
* Checking conditions of acceptance, interacting with clients as needed, using data sources to make decisions and advise brokers/clients.
* Following up until contract signing or refusal.
* Developing draft contracts and amendments fitting customer needs.
* Modifying coverage concepts per client/broker requests.
* Preparing contracts beyond authority and discussing with team leader.
* Monitoring, planning, and issuing contractual documents.
* Supporting Credit Control in cash allocation and monitoring unpaid premiums.
* Data management: preparing reports, premium flows, and controlling portfolio data quality.
* Supervising and guiding less experienced Underwriting Assistants.
* Acting as a reference point for troubleshooting, system expertise, and liaising with international offices, especially regarding global programs and key systems like Genius and Gismo.
* Developing expert knowledge of Genius and Gismo for global program implementation and process updates.
Capabilities and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree desirable.
* Fluent in English (minimum C1 CEFR).
* Experience of 7-10 years in similar roles.
* Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
