This position involves performing project management processes. The Project Manager is responsible for defining, leading, and managing multiple large to complex projects in line with the project management methodology to ensure successful project delivery. This includes implementing consulting projects and supply chain solutions for new and existing Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) accounts, supporting the growth of the LLP product across Europe, and working closely with sector and regional business development teams to pursue new LLP business from concept to operation. The role also involves leveraging operational experience to identify new savings and service improvement initiatives, supporting LLP operations teams in continuous improvement and growth, and assisting dedicated customer teams in implementing projects to drive value through gain share. Ensuring a consistent approach to implementation and post-implementation support is used globally across the business unit.
Overall Role Purpose
* Support the development of the project management strategy and deploy strategic project management initiatives.
* Manage the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability, and delivery of large/complex projects (multi-area or product) to meet project goals within agreed time, scope, budget, and resources.
* Drive conflict and issue resolution.
* Challenge scope changes to ensure benefits are realized.
* Own the project budget and monitor performance against the business case to ensure benefits are achieved.
* Serve as a subject matter expert in areas such as automation, specific IT systems, inventory control, etc., to support tender processes.
* Gather feedback from stakeholders at critical milestones to ensure project efforts meet customer expectations.
* Manage and govern the DHL DePICT project management methodology and risk management processes.
* Deliver high-quality project documentation, keep it updated, and ensure availability throughout the project.
* Lead the application of the DHL ACT change management methodology.
Essential requirements:
* Experience with DePICT or other project management methodologies.
* Business English language skills.
* Experience with DHL ACT or other change management methodologies.
* 5+ years in project and program management roles.
* Ability to lead and manage cross-country, multicultural teams.
* Flexibility to work across multiple countries.
Preferred qualifications:
* Experience with DHL DMAIC process improvement methodology.
* Over 5 years of experience in logistics.
* Over 5 years in operational management roles.
* Professional project management certification (e.g., IPMA Level C/B, PMI PgMP, Prince 2 Practitioner, Managing Successful Programmes, Management of Portfolios).
