The Role:
The Business Analyst provides functional and non-functional requirements to the development teams, explains the system behavior to various stakeholders, and supports the sales process with in-depth product knowledge.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Translating the prioritised problems into business requirements (user stories, use cases, visual modelling, diagramming, dataflows, etc)
- Engaging with clients to gather, analyse, and refine requirements for new feature requests
- Work with the solution definition team to create and communicate a technical solution for a given problem, including:
- Writing acceptance criteria for user stories
- Translating business and user requirements into functional and non-functional requirements, specified to an appropriate level of detail that can be used for development
- Reviewing completed work from development and updating documentation accordingly
- Supporting Product Manager and User Experience in validating assumptions via proofs of concept and prototyping activities
- Participating in the execution of user acceptance testing
- Assisting in appropriate end‑user training
- Supporting commercial sales by:
- Providing product‑related technical information
- Supporting or leading product demonstrations
- Contributing to RFP responses
Profile of the adecuado candidate:
- Has a BA/BS (Masters preferred) in business administration, economics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field, plus at least six years of experience in similar roles and business & software usability analysis
- Has a strong technical background, understands the architecture and technologies involved in building IT systems (cloud services, client/server communication, persistence engines, queues, etc.)
- Has interest and proficiency in generative AI technologies
- Business and technical conversant to talk to customers and development teams
- Proficient in Agile methodologies and Design Thinking
- Has assessment experience or is interested in learning more about online assessment
- Communicates well in writing and verbally (B2 English is a minimum) to a variety of constituencies and has experience facilitating and presenting
- Identifies and analyses problems, proposes solutions, and anticipates future problem areas before initiating action and implementing solutions
- Detail‑oriented and possesses strong analytical, problem‑solving, critical and creative thinking skills
- Demonstrates enthusiasm, courtesy, adaptability, flexibility and a spirit of cooperation in all contexts
