JOB OVERVIEW
Within the Digital Platform CoE team, Digital SAP Platform Expert will provide expertise on solution design & build, troubleshooting expertise, systems monitoring and performances.
JOB SUMMARY
Digital SAP Platform Expert will be accountable to drive key technical platform processes and standards, and will handle technical projects, initiatives, and improvement action plans. He/she will contribute to build and to maintain sustainable SAP platform.
He/she will own the product availability matrix for all the components of under his/her responsibility.
The Digital SAP Platform Expert needs to be up to date with SAP product, release strategy and should be able to plan the activities around it for all phases of the project. He/she should create the overall system maintenance plan from application perspective. He/she will contribute to the validation of installed solutions.
During execution phase, he/she will put in place quality gate to ensure that implementation partner follow the define rules with proper documentation.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The main duties of the Digital SAP Platform Expert are:
Design
1. Design, and coordinate with Digital Tech to create the BASIS best practices documents
2. Develop expertise on administration for SAP ECC, HANA, S/4, BW4HANA 2.0, BI4, BTP, CPI, PI, Data Services, Archiving/OpenText and other technologies related to the area of expertise
3. Liaise with Digital Tech to formulate the detail project plan for platform management stream
4. Ensure right sizing of the platform and evolutions aligned with project scope evolutions
5. Liaise with SAP expertise, Max Attention and all SAP services in relation with platform activities
Implementation and support
6. Manage the product availability matrix
7. Work closely with the implementation partner and lead the stream for all SAP Application management activities
8. Set quality gates to ensure implementation partner is following agreed rules and manage the project plan with deliverables and timelines
9. Propose and implement action plans to improve the platform performance, the ways of working and delivery of the technical services
10. Manage access to SAP support portal
11. Install technical components within the solution
12. Ensure performance platform optimization plan
13. Ensure data volume management and archiving strategy
14. Configure data and documents archiving components
15. Execute and document basis configuration not covering by third party
16. Support functional teams on basis activities (troubleshooting, performance, notes)
17. Analyze regularly health check reports and build associated action plan
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
18. Graduated from engineering, computer science, or Digital school, Master’s degree or equivalent
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
19. 10+ years work experience on SAP Basis, including similar technical platform management activities
20. Deep expertise on SAP architecture, components and SAP basis (hands-on)
21. General expertise in IT infrastructure technologies (SQL, Hana, Oracle DB, Servers, OS…) and Cloud services
22. Deep Knowledge in SAP performance optimization (Basis, Hana, SQL statements, etc.)
23. Integration technologies (ALE/RFC/Idocs, WebServices, Odata, Tibco, Informatica, RFC/iDoc, ,…)
24. Significant experience in IT service management and tools (ITIL, ServiceNow, Solman)
25. Some experience in Project Management, involving Agile and Digital methodologies
26. Ability to manage multiple and parallel SAP platform lifecycles
27. A good track record in SAP projects
28. At ease with Microsoft Office tools, and in general with IS tools.
