🎯 About the Role
We are looking for a Backend Developer (PHP/Laravel) to join a fast-growing EdTech company that is building and scaling a next-generation course marketplace platform.
You’ll work closely with a small, collaborative tech team (2 backend + 2 frontend developers) under the guidance of the CTO, contributing to the development, optimization, and maintenance of the company’s core platform.

🧩 Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain backend services using PHP/Laravel.
* Collaborate with the frontend team (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML) to deliver seamless user experiences.
* Optimize and scale the platform’s architecture for performance and reliability.
* Integrate external services and APIs.
* Write clean, maintainable code with proper documentation and testing.
* Contribute ideas and technical improvements to the product roadmap.
🛠️ Requirements
* 3+ years of professional experience as a Backend Developer.
* Strong knowledge of PHP and Laravel.
* Good understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript / HTML (for collaboration with frontend).
* Solid grasp of relational databases.
* Proficiency in English (B2–C1) and Spanish.
* Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in small agile teams.
🌟 Nice to Have
* Experience working with Microsoft Azure (DevOps, deployment, or cloud services).
* Familiarity with RESTful API design and scalable architectures.
