**Application Engineer - Carbide Rolls**
The Application Engineer for Carbide Rolls is responsible for designing and implementing solutions and products for the Carbide rolls segment and key technical activities related to our products and process that helps customers achieve its objectives.
The location of this position is in Martorelles Hyperion site.
**Job Summary**
The Application Engineer will support the sales force to identify rolling mill's needs and the value brought by Hyperion to them as well as design and develop our products. Other responsibilities for the position will include:
- Responsible for leading cross-functional project teams from process/product conception through commercial implementation
- Project planning and milestone tracking
- Support or carry out product design following customer's specifications.
- Support internal design and manufacturing process.
- Assist sales when Rolling Mill / Steel Industry questions arise: problem-solving, product design questions, identifying value opportunities (Customer Value File, CVF), etc.
- Assist customers when support is needed with the design and use of our products.
- Participate in the analysis of quality complaints and will answer them when related to Rolling Mill / Steel Industry process or product design
- Provide Rolling Mill / Steel Industry process information to carry out R&D; activities and plan and support field tests.
- Gather and forward the relevant information regarding alternative competitive solutions or advancements in the industry.
- Assist the sales and marketing team in Rolling Mill / Steel Industry-related tasks
- Perform technical presentations to customers.
- Participate in trade shows and other Rolling Mill / Steel Industry events.
**Your profile**
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
- Two to four years of experience in mechanical engineering or related field (preferable Rolling Mill / Steel Industry / Machine industry)
- Proven understanding of engineering fundamentals with solid conceptual skills.In average 30% travel will be required.

- International travel is required for at least 20% of the time.
