Job Description Summary
Role
Senior Consultants work closely with Engagement Managers, Principals, and Partners to solve challenging client questions. They fully own assigned complex projects, deliver components of client engagements, and drive project success while developing long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution / Billability (70%-90%) :
* Manage project execution, develop approaches to client needs, and leverage business experience to identify strategies with limited guidance.
* Coordinate client and stakeholder engagements, lead meetings, and report on project progress.
* Guide and review analyses to identify client issues and develop deliverables.
* Anticipate potential issues and communicate effectively with the team and senior roles.
* Coordinate the creation of reports, presentations, workshops, and other deliverables.
* Ensure high quality, timely, and accurate complex deliverables.
* Develop industry knowledge in life sciences and healthcare through engagement delivery and training.
* Provide oversight and direction to staff, aligning with organizational policies and values.
Business Development / Corporate Initiatives (up to 20%) :
* Support business development from lead discovery to proposal defense.
* Contribute to internal strategic projects, knowledge management, and technology systems.
* Manage and coach associates and analysts, overseeing daily activities and training.
* Assist in preparing and delivering sales presentations and proposals.
* Support recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
Thought Leadership (up to 10%) :
* Support development of thought leadership projects such as white papers and publications.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
* 4-5 years of experience in management consulting, private equity, life sciences, or health technology assessment.
* Graduate degree in Life Sciences, Business, Economics, or Engineering; PhD, Master’s, MBA considered a plus.
* Experience managing and coaching teams of 2-4 people.
Technical Competencies & Soft Skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proven project management skills, including client interaction and communication.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work in a multicultural environment.
* Ability to coach and develop staff, setting goals and providing feedback.
* Flexible, positive attitude, and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
* Excellent English skills; additional languages are a plus.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
* Self-starter, thrives in collaborative, less structured environments.
Education
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Life Sciences.
