Based in our Badalona offices, this role will strengthen financial governance and drive continuous improvement across the organisation. The jobholder will oversee accounting activities, financial controls, reporting, budgeting, cost analysis and regulatory compliance. The candidate will ensure the delivery of timely, reliable financial information and maintain strong financial systems and internal controls. The role works closely with the Finance Manager and Corporate Finance Department in the UK and other internal stakeholders, and will coordinate with auditors and external partners when required. This position is primarily office-based. brKey Responsibilities brProcess supplier and customer invoices. brPrepare and reconcile bank statements. brSet up and maintain supplier accounts. brMaintain the computerised accounting system. brLiaise with auditors. brContribute to the preparation of financial reports. brSupport the month-end closing process. brEvaluate accounting and internal control systems. brAssess the effectiveness of accounting software and databases. brExecute a comprehensive set of controls. brSubmit tax returns (mainly VAT). brReconcile the balance sheet. brCreate and maintain dashboards and financial analysis reports. brCost control and analytical accounting. This list is not exhaustive, and the jobholder will be expected to undertake any duties within their capacity to meet the needs of the business. brSkills and Experience brAt least 3 years of experience as an accountant or controller. brExperience with accounting software. brAbility to enter and manage all accounting documentation in the system. brExperience providing support to the Finance Manager. brExperience with ERP systems (preferably SAGE). brExperience in analytical accounting (not essential but recommended). brKnowledge of SQL and Business Intelligence tools (Power BI or similar), not essential but recommended.
