Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Insurance Accounting & Reporting Analyst to join our AXA Partners Finance Department.
Your role will be to coordinate and oversee insurance accounting activities for the insurance entity and ensure accurate reporting that supports informed decision-making and compliance with regulatory standards.
What you'll be doing:
Your main responsabilities will be to:
* Coordinate and oversee day-to-day insurance accounting activities
* Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
* Quarterly closings reporting in internal AXA Group consolidation tool (Magnitude)
* Ensure accurate recording of insurance transactions, including premiums, commissions, claims, reserves, and reinsurance.
* Commissions forecast and reconciliation control on Direct and Reinsurance business
* Monitor and analyze key financial metrics related to insurance operations
* Support the budgeting and forecasting processes related to insurance activities
* Management and maintenance data information required by information regulatory external authorities (BNB or France regulator) and internal (internal controls, etc…)
* Collaborate with auditors and regulatory authorities during audits and examinations
* Implement and improve accounting policies and internal controls to enhance data quality
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies
* Provide insights and support for management decision-making through financial analysis
What you'll bring:
Technical/ Functional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Solid and demonstrable insurance accounting knowledge.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and ensure accuracy
* Strong communication and organizational skills to prepare clear reports and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Valuable experience in complex environments, with interaction and participation in international environment.
* Demonstrable experience at User level with ERP accounting applications (Oracle Financials / peoplesoft / SAP)
* Advanced Excel user
Education, Professional Qualifications and Experience
* Accounting degree qualifications
* +5 years experience of insurance accounting related activities
* Strong knowledge of accounting standards such as IFRS17, local GAAP, or statutory requirements.
* English fluent is desirable
* Valuable experience in the accounting/analytical management of technical reserves
