Role Overview
We are looking for an SHORT- TERM ENERGY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST to join our team and support the optimisation and commercial performance of our renewable energy portfolio.
Based in Valencia or Madrid Offices.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring short-term electricity markets, regulation and market variables relevant to the operation and optimization of renewable energy assets.
Define the overall optimization strategy for our renewable generation assets and BESS
Managing and supervising settlements processes related to energy production, imbalance costs, deviations and market transactions.
Lead the interaction with PPA counterparties and execute the invoicing process
Tracking market references, pool prices, ancillary services and other key market indicators.
Analysing market behaviour, curtailment events, grid constraints and transmission limitations impacting asset performance.
Lead the tendering process and selection of market agents
Supporting forecasting activities for production, prices and deviations.
Preparing operational reports and market performance analysis for internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Engineering degree (Industrial, Energy, Electrical or similar).
Previous experience (at least 3 years) in short-term energy management, settlements, energy operations or electricity markets.
Knowledge of electricity market operations, balancing markets, settlements and market mechanisms.
Experience working with market data, operational KPIs and energy management tools.
Advanced English level
Strong analytical and operational mindset.
Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Python, SQL or Power BI is a plus.
