Are you ready to make an impact on a global scale? As the Global Category Manager for Raw Materials at Master Builders Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring supply security and optimizing costs for our global raw material categories. With one major category being PEGs/PCE (Poly Ethylene Glycols/Polycarboxylate Ether) and the other two categories related to natural feedstocks, your responsibility extends across guiding a team of buyers, coordinating global category activities, and serving as the key liaison for stakeholders worldwide. Your mission: to craft and implement a comprehensive Category Strategy, negotiate competitive contracts, and drive bottom-line impact for Master Builders Solutions.**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:- Lead a team of global/regional buyers, steering them towards excellence in procurement practices.- Develop an aligned Category Strategy, integrating global market intelligence, supplier evaluation, and cost reduction initiatives.- Coordinate global category activities, ensuring alignment with regional needs and specifications.- Negotiate global contracts to secure ongoing supply and achieve competitive terms.- Provide invaluable Global Market Intelligence, empowering decision-making across the organization.- Steer spot buys and ensure business continuity during shortages or unforeseen circumstances.- Evaluate and manage global suppliers as a strategic partner, driving efficiency and innovation.- Champion cost-saving initiatives and share best practices globally to enhance Master Builders Solutions' competitiveness.- Report category status and achievements to Procurement management.**Skills & Knowledge Required**:**Education/Experience**:- Degree in economics, business administration, or natural sciences, ideally aligned with assigned Categories.- Minimum 5 years of experience in Raw Material Procurement within the chemical industry.**Skills/Competencies**:- Exceptional interpersonal and intercultural skills.- Proven experience in cross-functional team moderation and international business environments.- Strong proficiency in Procurement techniques, SAP, Excel, and database usage.- Fluency in English and local language(s), additional languages advantageous.- Storylining and presentation skills for executive-level communication.**Competencies & Behavioral Skills**:- Ambitious self-starter with strong strategic thinking.- Excellent analytical, communication, and networking abilities.- Leadership orientation with a focus on impact and results.- Willingness to travel and work in an international environment.**Results Orientation**:- Driven to improve results and maintain standards under pressure.**Entrepreneurship**:- Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives, taking reasonable risks to achieve results.**Supplier and Internal Customer Orientation**:- Valued partner mindset, generating innovative solutions and driving value.**Valuing and Respecting People**:- Proactive team player with empathy and conflict-resolution skills.
