Post‑Doctoral Researcher – Translation, Interpretation, and Multimodal Communication
A research and teaching position at Comillas (Cantoblanco campus, Madrid) as part of the Horizon Europe project CREDIBLE. The role is full‑time, 3‑year contract, starting 1 September. Responsibilities are split 50/50 between research and teaching.
Responsibilities
* Co‑lead work packages on stakeholder engagement and replication strategies for circular construction in the EU (research, 50%).
* Design and facilitate participatory workshops and focus groups with diverse stakeholders and communities.
* Develop socio‑technical frameworks to support the scaling of circular solutions across diverse cultural and geographic contexts.
* Collaborate with an international consortium on policy analysis, communication strategies, and sustainability transitions.
* Teach up to 9 ECTS per year in Communication (e.g., communication theory, environmental communication, or qualitative methods, depending on the holder’s profile).
* Support departmental initiatives, including research events, student supervision, curriculum development, and the overall academic life of the faculty.
* Demonstrate either prior teaching experience or the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
Requirements
* Doctoral degree in Communication or related Social Sciences, Humanities, or Engineering disciplines.
* Academic research experience and assessment of stakeholder engagement campaigns.
* Strong record of high‑quality publications and interdisciplinary collaboration.
* Familiarity with participatory methods, the Multi‑Level Perspective, and circular‑economy frameworks.
* Experience with stakeholder engagement research and, ideally, teaching.
* English required; Spanish desired, other European languages helpful.
* Ability to work in a team, lead a research line, and familiarity with EU policy and programmes related to circular economy and energy transitions.
