Customer Success Technical Architect (CSTA)
Job Overview
The CSTA is both deeply technical and commercial. You will act as a trusted technical advisor and advocate to work with customers, ensuring their success, retention, and expansion. Leveraging a technical background (e.G., AppDev, SysAdmin, Distributed Computing), you will advise on architectures and best practices, helping customers accelerate time to value and maximize product consumption.
Responsibilities
Champion and advocate for the customer within Confluent, coordinating between Sales, Product, Services, Support, and Training to drive technical success.
Identify customer technical objections and develop strategies to address blockers to adoption.
Support customers through the technical lifecycle: architecture planning, cluster & security design, monitoring & automation;
provide guidance on upgrade or migration plans, platform hardening, and high‑availability design.
Guide customers up the streaming maturity curve through advanced technical topics (e.G., data mesh, stream processing, utilization optimization, and performance tuning).
Develop and present periodic customer reviews, including analysis of technical health and operational performance, to Confluent senior management.
