POSITION PURPOSE
The Assistant Director of Sales reports to the Director of Sales and will assist her/him in managing the implementation of the hotel’s sales strategies and achieving budgeted top line revenue for the hotel.
The ideal candidate will be organized, detail oriented, enjoys working in a team environment and leading and developing team members. The ADOS needs to have the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbally.
The responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
* Assist in leading and supervising the sales team, oversee the day to day sales activities, implement action plans and accomplish goals and set targets.
* Attends sales strategy meetings to provide input on weekly and overall sales strategy.
* Analyzes market information by using sales systems and implements strategy to achieve property’s financial room and catering goals.
* Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels (e.g., Event Booking Center, Market Sales, GSO) to ensure the property needs are being achieved and the sales efforts are complementary, not duplicative.
* Assist in the production of annual hotel business plan.
* Attends customer events, trade shows and sales missions to maintain, build or develop key relationships with GSO Managers and customers.
