Job Purpose
Lead financial and business analysis of all airport-related operations across Vueling's ground services network in alignment with internal budgeting processes, contractual agreements, and corporate performance frameworks to improve cost efficiency, ensure operational and supplier performance, and support data-driven strategic decisions.
Main Accountabilities
* Ensure early detection of underperformance, facilitate performance letters, and support financial claims or penalties based on contract breaches.
* Maintain financial discipline, validate forecasted savings, and provide insights into budget deviations, including invoice-level investigations.
* Identify inefficiencies or non-requested services, detect billing errors or operational excesses, and implement corrective actions.
* Evaluate and quantify the economic impact, ROI, and operational implications of initiatives to internal committees and airport managers.
* Reduce data discrepancies, ensure consistent performance measurement, and align reporting with operational decision-making needs.
* Deliver clear insights to enable senior management to make informed decisions, especially during monthly closings, strategic reviews, and meetings.
* Provide data-driven insights such as historical spend and cost simulations for better commercial terms and renewal planning.
* Support ongoing cost-reduction initiatives and transformation efforts.
Main Responsibilities
* Analyse supplier performance through KPI and SLA monitoring, including operational metrics like luggage handling, punctuality, safety, and costs.
* Review airport invoices, identify billing errors, and propose corrective actions for internal savings validation.
* Identify EBIT and cost-saving opportunities, support monthly budget closings, and validate financial impacts.
* Lead the “additional costs control” project, focusing on variable costs from ground handling services across airports.
* Develop business cases for new airport projects and innovations, such as kiosks or ancillary services.
* Support contract processes with the Procurement team, providing analytical input during negotiations.
* Prepare and validate monthly KPIs and reports in collaboration with the Data team, and help define future performance targets.
* Create executive presentations on supplier and operational performance, trends, and opportunities using tools like Tableau and Excel.
* Support internal communication and reporting on ground operations projects involving third parties.

Education
* University degree in Engineering (preferably Aeronautical Engineering), Industrial Engineering, or similar technical fields with a financial focus.
* Strong financial and operational knowledge, especially in cost control and tracking against budgets.
* Experience in savings validation and financial deviation analysis.
* Knowledge in preparing and evaluating business cases for investments or process changes.
* Familiarity with airport operations and ground handling service models, including fixed and variable costs.
* Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools like Tableau.
Experience
* Minimum of 3 years in roles involving financial analysis, business case preparation, supplier performance monitoring, or contract support.
* Experience in the aviation sector is highly desirable, especially related to airport operations, procurement, or cost efficiency projects.
* Experience conducting quantitative analysis to support operational decisions, such as staffing optimization or pricing analysis.
* Leading or supporting cost-efficiency initiatives in high-pressure environments with demanding savings targets.
