The Regional Quality Systems & Project Manager's main responsibility is to support monitoring, controlling, and reporting on BQ EMEA activities, including:
- Bakery Quality & Food Safety performance and strategic initiatives.
- Compliance with external and internal standards, especially for Bimbo EMEA bakeries producing for QSR.
Key Job Responsibilities:
1. KPI Governance & Reporting: Consolidate, report, and analyze Quality & Food Safety KPIs to assess progress against Business Plan objectives, identify top priorities, and monitor critical action plans from recalls, complaints, incidents, and audit findings.
2. Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to customer, legal, and internal BQ-GB Quality & Food Safety standards; communicate updates; support investigations of deviations.
3. Systems Management & Training: Provide technical support and training on customer platforms (e.g., McD SIM, OnPoint, Amabis, RBI SPEQ, KFC TraceOne) and BQ systems (e.g., Freshability, Power BI, SPC), with suggestions for continuous improvement.
4. Projects Management: Oversee execution of customer projects and BQ strategic initiatives using established project management methodologies.
5. CAPEX Monitoring: Track Food Safety & Quality CAPEX and investments, providing justifications for delays or cancellations.
6. Document Management: Manage Quality & Food Safety documentation and control systems.
7. Assist with data requests, organization, and presentation of information.
8. Support internal reviews, meetings, and training material preparation.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Competencies and Skills:
- Excellent communication, planning, time management, and organizational skills.
- High accuracy in processing written information and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in team environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and Co-Pilot.
- Strong data management and analysis skills, including experience with Power BI and Excel Pivot tables.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Gantt charts, MS Planner, or Smartsheet.
- Leadership qualities, autonomous work ethic, initiative-taking, results orientation, and change management skills.
Education and Work Experience:
- Minimum 4 years in the Food Manufacturing industry, preferably in bakeries.
- Knowledge of GMP and Food Safety standards.
- Experience with QSR clients (e.g., McDonald's, RBI, KFC) is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English (B2 level) and basic Spanish.
- Relevant training in GMP, HACCP, GFSI schemes (e.g., FSSC 22000, IFS), baking, and QSR standards.
The position can be based anywhere in Continental Europe where BQ or Bimbo has a bakery.
