Description of the position:
We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer for its global operations in Madrid. He/She will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and automating the cloud infrastructure and platform services that underpin their corporate landing zone. Working closely with the Cloud Solution Architects and Strategy & Governance, Security and Product teams to establish secure, scalable, and compliant cloud foundations that enable the organization to rapidly deploy new workloads and services in the Azure cloud.
Key Responsibilities and tasks:
* Curate or develop solutions based on the prioritized backlog of building and maintaining foundations, resources and cloud capabilities.
* Build automation and reusable resources to provide agility to product teams as self-service solutions.
* Ensure solutions align with requirements.
* Ensure solutions are consistently applied and meet existing governance and compliance requirements.
* Create and validate solutions in the catalog.
* Operate and manage the cloud's foundations and capabilities.
* Continuously improve the services and capabilities
* Keep up with new innovations in the cloud.
* Bring new cloud functionality to support business value creation.
* Review release plans for sources of new requirements.
* Design and implement Azure resource management policies, Azure Policy definitions, and Azure Blueprints to enforce organizational standards and compliance requirements.
* Integrate Azure security services (e.g., Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Azure Firewall) to monitor, detect, and respond to threats and vulnerabilities.
* Implement Azure governance and cost management controls, including Azure Budgets, Cost Management, and Reservations.
* Develop and maintain Azure landing zone architectures that align with Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Provide technical guidance, training, and support to application teams on the use of Azure services and cloud best practices.
* Continuously optimize the cloud platform by analyzing usage, costs, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Working Experience & Tech Skills:
* 5+ years of Experience designing and deploying Azure cloud infrastructure and platform services.
* Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, and other CI/CD tools for automating cloud deployments.
* Experience developing Python scripts.
* Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, and Azure CLI/PowerShell.
* Deep understanding of Azure resource management, security, networking, and identity services.
* Familiarity with cloud architecture patterns, the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, and the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
Soft skills:
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* International work experience working with international teams.
Education and Training:
* Bachelor's Degree or vocational training qualification: In information technology, or a related field.
Certifications:
* Certifications in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Azure Security Engineer) are highly desirable.
Languages:
* Spanish: Very good Business Spanish required (excellent communication skills). B2/C1 level.
* English: Very good Business English required (excellent communication skills). B2/C1 level.
Job Conditions:
Job location: Tres Cantos (Madrid). European Union nationality otherwise EU/Spain work permit required as a prerequisite.
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time, as internal employee.
Salary: Depending on qualification and experience.
Work from home: Hybrid working model including the possibility of working from home (70%) but according to the specific needs that may arise from the perspective of project development, department, clients, and/or partners.
