Lead Software Engineer - Frontend (React / Next.js) (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities
As Lead Software Engineer within the General Web & eCommerce team, you are an integral part of a scaled agile team in an exciting international environment that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.
- Drives decisions that influence the product architecture, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Collaborate with multiple development teams and coordinate processes and patterns of development
- Guide and mentor the teams and collaborate with software engineers to facilitate problem solving for complex challenges
- Ensure best practices are consistently applied: including code quality, testing, system design, performance optimization, etc.
- Investigate technical optimizations, synergies, automation (ex: through AI), and technical depth / debt reduction potential
Your profile
- Bachelor/Master in computer science or related fields, or other significant credentials in experience and knowledge. Fluent in English is necessary
- Familiar with modern web software development principles, practices and frameworks (specifically MACH / Microservices architecture)
- Experience with technologies like: Next.js, NodeJS, TypeScript, CI/CD pipelines, GraphQL, Git, Web performance, REST APIs, OPEN APIs standards
- Nice to have: Kubernetes, cloud services management, serverless, CMS Systems (ContentStack), Commerce systems (commercetools)
- 5+ years of frontend development experience
