Position Overview
The Project Financial Controller will be responsible for the financial control and accounting oversight of ongoing projects, ensuring accurate budget monitoring, proper cost and revenue allocation, and the preparation of timely and reliable financial reports. This role will work closely with operations, technical teams, accounting, and management to ensure the financial performance and viability of each project.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee financial planning and budget control for assigned projects.
* Monitor project-related costs and revenues, ensuring accurate accounting and financial tracking.
* Prepare periodic financial reports, including forecasts, variance analysis, and cash flow monitoring.
* Support monthly and annual financial closing processes related to projects.
* Collaborate closely with technical and operations teams to align project execution with financial planning.
* Identify budget deviations, analyze root causes, and propose corrective actions.
* Participate in internal and external audits related to project finances.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company financial policies.
* Provide financial insights to management to support decision-making and project profitability.
Required Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in project financial control or a similar role (experience in multinational environments is a plus).
* Solid knowledge of analytical accounting, budgeting, and cost control.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI (or similar reporting tools).
* Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
* Proactive mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
* Fluent English (spoken and written); Chinese is a strong plus .
Nice to Have
* Experience in the renewable energy or solar sector.
* Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
* Familiarity with European accounting regulations and reporting standards.
* Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, or similar).
