* Supervise and coordinate the use of CRAG computers cluster, ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of the computational resources.
* Propose improvements and optimization strategies of the cluster architecture and software engineering considering CRAG needs and the state of the art in the field.
* Coordinate the installation, configuration, and maintenance of bioinformatics software and tools, and provide general support to the users, helping them in the installation and proper use of new dedicated programs.
* Help CRAG users to efficiently use the cluster, through general introductory seminars, user meetings and one-to-one discussions.
REQUIREMENTS :
* Bachelor's or master’s degree in Informatic engineering, Computer science, Computational Biology, or a related field.
* Proficiency in programming languages like C and languages commonly used in bioinformatics, such as Python, R, and Perl.
* Experience in managing the scientific IT area in a research or academic setting will be positively valued.
* Strong knowledge in pipeline optimization.
* Experience with cluster resource management software, such as Slurm, LSF, or SGE.
* Experience in bioinformatic tools and databases will be an asset.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with researchers from diverse backgrounds.
* Organizational skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
* Interim contract until filling the vacancy with a permanent contract.
* Working day : Full 37.5 hours / week.
* Remuneration : depending on the experience and qualifications provided and framed within the salary structure of CRAG.
* Planned date of incorporation : As soon as possible.
