The opportunity
Join our global Health & Safety (HSE) team within the Transformers Business Unit as our Global HSE Training Program Lead. Reporting to the Global Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive HSE Training Program. You will help identify training needs, create engaging learning solutions, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of HSE training globally. This role will play a critical part in maintaining a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment through targeted and effective learning platforms.
How you’ll make an impact
1. Provide strategic view to the global HSE team regarding training needs, capabilities, and scalability
2. Develop a long-term HSE training strategy aligned with business goals and global compliance standards
3. Design and manage structured HSE curriculums (structure and content) for all HSE-related training
4. Develop and deliver engaging training content tailored to various formats, including eLearning, instructor-led, on-the-job, and webinars
5. Conduct or facilitate required and recommended training sessions
6. Create and communicate HSE training reports based on established metrics, monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness, success, and return on investment (ROI)
7. Provide regular updates and performance insights to senior management and stakeholders and establish systems to track and evaluate the long-term impact of training activities
8. Proactively suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning outcomes, and retention
9. Drive continuous improvement through regular feedback collection and analysis. Stay current on new methods and techniques for training, including technology and industry standards
Your background
10. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline
11. Professional certifications such as BCSP, CSP, CHST, CIT, or similar are highly preferred
12. Minimum 10 years of direct health and safety experience, including at least 4 years in a training management role
13. Proven experience in developing and managing training programs in complex, global organizations
14. Broad knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations and compliance requirements
15. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
16. Experience with Safety Management Software and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
