Background:
PKL Services Inc. will be providing Planned Maintenance Interval (PMI) Repair and Squadron Support Services on MH-60R & MH-60S aircraft in support of PMA-299 Naval Air Systems Command. All work will be performed at Naval Air Station (NAS) Rota, Spain.

Summary:
The Aircraft Electrician (MH-60) performs scheduled PMI maintenance on aircraft airframe, power plants, corrosion control and painting, electrical and related fuel systems for T/M/S/ aircraft hired to maintain. Duties may include performing flight line essential services.
Other duties and responsibilities include:
Involved in disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, testing, installation and maintenance of aircraft electrical systems, equipment and accessories such as automatic flight control, fire detection, instrumentation, power distribution, fuel indicating systems and utilities used on rotary wing aircraft.
Ability to correct discrepancies by removal, repair, or replacement of defective circuits, wires, connectors, control units, plugs, switches, circuit breakers, diodes, resistors, capacitors, relays and other parts of aircraft electrical systems.
Performs final functional checks on existing and newly installed aircraft electrical systems, equipment, and wiring and cables to check continuity, resistance, amperage and insulation breakdown with standard and specialized tooling and equipment. On a daily basis, uses common hand and power tools and test equipment to facilitate rework operations.
Comprehensive knowledge of electrical theory, principles, and circuitry;
a thorough knowledge ofaircraft electrical systems and their interrelationships and a working knowledge of electronic principles.
Able to recognize actual circuit configuration on schematics and diagrams. Must be able to trace signal paths through printed circuits and aircraft wiring in order to troubleshoot, modify, repair, overhaul, and maintain complex electrical systems on board aircraft such as antiskid, automatic flight control, and fuel indicating systems.
Comprehensive knowledge of AC and DC power and a thorough understanding of aircraft electrical systems and their relationships with affected systems.
Knowledgeable in the use of blueprints, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings and technical directives.
Makes independent decisions and judgments regarding complex troubleshooting techniques, modification, and repair procedures.
Skill in removing, installing, connecting, aligning, adjusting and testing complex systems, and assemblies.
Knowledge and skill in the use of standard and specialized tools and test equipment of the trade including fixtures, templates, scales, test stands and external power sources.
Required educational/skills background:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current US passport if not a citizen of Spain.
8 years' current or previous experience performing complex helicopter electrical work.
Past maintenance experience with MH-60 helicopters preferred.
Shall be able to obtain a NAS Rota base access card or Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC) card privileges to ensure access to flight line workspaces and critical information systems.
If deemed by the Site Manager, this individual must acquire all Support Equipment licenses that are required for the position.
Shall perform requirements in a manner that meet or exceeds CNAFINST series, applicable Naval Aviation Maintenance Program Standard Operating Procedure (NAMPSOPs), Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs) and local NAMSOP instructions.
Knowledge of naval maintenance publications, maintenance requirement cards.
Proficient with NALCOMIS OOMA automated maintenance documentation system.

Will traverse into high noise workshop areas or near active jet aircraft operating ramps.

May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers.
